Ilze studied art and graphic design, landscape design, forestry and then moved on to floristry. Over her professional career she has completed many floristry courses across Europe. Some of the master courses she attended were run by Taivo Piller, Estonia and Linda Johnsen, Norway. Ms Alka also has a certificate of florist-designer - school of European floristry, headed by Peter Hess, Switzerland, and a certificate of advanced bridal course from Boerma Institute, Holand.
